Just thought i would post this as yes there is a phisher going around DA and no one has any idea as to who or what is happening.

The first thing to remember is that unless you click the log out button at the top of DA you wont have to enter you Password in again.
This means if you click a link (Even a legit DA link) you will never have to enter you password unless one of 2 reasons.

1. You cookies or saved passwords has been deleted (This is not a bad thing)

2. You are not actually on DA.

The main step to take if you are on a DA login page is to wipe the URL or Address bar and type www . Deviantart . com (Without the extra spaces) this will take you to Deviantart whether you were already on it or not.

Now to explain what the Phisher or "Hacker" is.

Just to note it is NOT a virus or a hacker the correct term is Phisher (Pronounced Fisher) It uses a simple form like Deviant art does to collect you log in Details and then uses robot to send those mass link containing E-Mails.

For anyone here using Firefox Web Browser you will be "Blocked" by a filter from the Phisher's website by use of the web browsers built in security. This blocker is not a function of the Phisher and is there to help you.

For those of you using Internet Explorer, I strongly suggest you upgrade to Firefox or if you still want to use Internet Explorer UPDATE IT TO THE LATEST VERSION.

Internet Explorer also has a built in security but not as good as firefox.

If you encounter this site do not go telling you Computer Technician that you have a virus because you will waste there time and money. (I know this because i am one and nothing is worse than when someone dosent know what wrong).

Remember to flag any messages as spam containing links to Phishing sites and hopefully with the information provided here you will be able to avoid losing access to you account.
